The spherical tonneau shape of the case makes Kalla Duchesse distinguish from other timepieces. Everything from the 18 carat white gold case to the clasp of the watch is smooth and elegant. The gem-setting process of the watch needed a special expertise. The technique the jewelers used is called "the inverted pyramid". The bracelet of the watch, however, is based upon another technique of gem setting which is entitled "Parisian mesh".
